It is time to say goodbye (for now) to our vet Dr Louise, who has officially started maternity leave in preparation for the arrival of her newest 2-legged family member! While Dr Louise is on leave, you will see a few new faces around the clinic.
For the month of July, we have Dr Damien McGinley working Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings and from August we have Dr Hugo Murrell coming to join the team which we are very excited about.
Dr Hugo grew up in Brisbane and graduated from UQ Vet school in 2011. He has worked in mixed practice in northern NSW, and then took a job as clinical anaesthetist at UQ Small Animal teaching hospital in 2013. Dr Hugo and his wife Beth, who is also a vet, then spent 6 months travelling overland from Argentina to Canada. They then worked in a clinic in Windsor in the UK for two years before returning to Australia. Dr Hugo’s special interests include dentistry, surgery and anaesthesia. Away from work, Dr Hugo’s hobbies include playing guitar, photography, cycling and cooking.
We look forward to welcoming them on board!
